About Dr. Tallio

Dr. Debora Tallio has been a physician for 30 years and remains passionate about helping others achieve optimal health. She is board certified in Lifestyle Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has training in Culinary Medicine, Obesity Medicine, Plant-based Nutrition, and Mind-Body Medicine. She helps patients prevent, improve, and when possible reverse diseases including obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, inflammatory arthritis, and chronic pain. Dr. Tallio previously worked at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Southeastern Regional Medical Center in North Carolina, and the Lexington Clinic in Kentucky. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia and a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan Medical Center.

Karen Boone, Office Manager

Karen joined Mindful Medicine in January 2022. She is excited to join Dr. Tallio in helping patients on their journey to better health. Her friendly and compassionate nature is readily apparent when you meet her. She and her husband Rick have called Lexington home for 15 years and are blessed with 3 darling daughters and 5 exceptional grandchildren.

Gretchen Farah currently works as a personal trainer and instructor in yoga, Pilates, and barre classes. She lost 60 pounds several years ago when she changed to a whole food, plant-based way of eating. She is a retired Speech and Language pathologist. She and Dr. Tallio created “The Whole New You” program which offers group sessions for those wanting to change their diet for the prevention and treatment of disease.
